Richmond Hill Road / Gold Hill Peak

Gold Hill is a high mountain peak at an elevation of 3.752m (12,309ft) set in Rocky Mountains in the Elk Range. Road to the summit is totally unpaved and is called Richmond Hill Road. 4x4 vehicles with high clearance only are capable in reaching the
summit. A very scenic trail connects Taylor Pass to the south and Ashcroft/Aspen to the north (via Castle Creek Road) acting like a loop. Route is impassable from October to July. It is one of the highest roads of Colorado.
