Peguis Canyon. Its name is taken from a bird that is a recurring inhabitant of this place. It is 16 km long and with a depth of up to 350 meters, totally vertical limestone walls and the Conchos River crosses in its depths. The river can be traveled by kayak and is
ideal for rafting and canyoneering. Along the way you can glimpse some cave paintings with geometric shapes that date back thousands of years. Along the way there are some nearby pools where you can swim and some caves that you can explore. There is a place known as El Salto where you can find the typical desert vegetation of biznagas and nopales along with some stones.
