California Route 36 is said to be one of the twistier roads in US. It crosses northern California (Humboldt, Trinity, Shasta, Tehama, Plumas and Lassen counties). Most of the 36 route is a two lane conventional highway. It is also said to have 1811 curves along its
way ideal for motorcyclists. Though is regarded as a heaven of twists and turns it demands full attention. Tarmac is in very good condition. Every road will seem very trivial after you ride this. Unfortunately limited cell phone service. Plan about 6 hours to complete the drive without any stop. The road passes through a diverse range of topography and climate regions.
